An instant lawn where seed will not take, laid on prepared soil so the seams knit instead of lifting.

Spring and fall work, part of our Lawn Renovation programme, and sod installation runs on the same schedule and the same invoice as everything else on the property.

Sod is not automatically better than seed. It is better when you need the lawn usable now, when the grade is steep enough that seed washes off it, or when the season has run out and there is no time left for germination.
What decides whether sod installation holds is the soil under it. We grade, amend and fertilise before a roll goes down, lay the seams tight and roll the whole thing so the roots meet soil rather than air. Establishment guidance from Cornell’s garden based learning program is what the watering schedule we hand over is based on.

We run sod installation across Buffalo and 31 towns through Erie and Niagara counties. If your street is not on the list, call anyway. The edge of the route moves with whatever is already booked nearby, and one or two neighbours is usually enough to make a street work.

Most people book sod installation alongside one or two of these. Putting them on a single agreement schedules better and prices better than booking each job separately, and you deal with one crew and one invoice for the whole property rather than chasing three contractors.
